Inspired by film photography, Lapse is designed to reclaim how we take and share memories. A camera for living in the moment and a private photo journal for friends, not followers.

Between 2021 and 2023, Our Life’s Work served as Lapse’s founding team, meticulously building the iOS app from the ground up. In just three months, we launched a beta version to 10,000 users on TestFlight. Collaborating with serverless technology specialists, aleios, we scaled the app for its public release in September 2021.

After going viral on TikTok with tens of millions of views, Lapse received over 150,000 downloads and skyrocketed to #1 on the UK and US App Store charts. In February 2022, Apple recognised Lapse as "App of the Day”. Our contributions were instrumental in Lapse securing $11m in funding from Google Ventures, Octopus Ventures, Atomico & Speedinvest, propelling the company to a $75m valuation within nine months.
